I was finally able to take some time from the craziness that is my work life to work on something for a great cause, the Women In Film Dallas PSA. If you're not familiar with the PSA program, it's a yearly PSA that WIFD members donate their time and talent to, to produce a TV spot for a non-profit organization in North Texas.
Last year I was lucky enough to be the PSA Chair, and our members created such a wonderful spot for Alliance For Children, an organization in Tarrant County. It was really awesome to lead an all female crew — something I am super proud of still...but the cherry on top was getting a Telly Award for our spot. If you want to check it out, click here.
This year, I was able to also help out on the new spot by being grip on the 2nd day of the shoot and working on the post production (Editing and Motion Graphics). Last week they premiered the PSA at the Flicks by Chicks Film Festival in Dallas...I was unable to attend, but, here's the spot if you'd like to check it out.
This year it was produced for Jonathan's Place, an organization based out of Garland which helps people foster/foster-to-adopt children and young adults in need. Hope you enjoy it!
